Lemon Marketing
In connection with the announcement that the Government is to take over the working of the New Zealand lemon crop from May 1, it is pointed out that previously growers at Kerikeri and Tauranga, who supply the bulk of New Zealand’s requirements, have worked together running packing sheds and marketing their products on co-operative lines. It is understood that the Government may supervise these sheds and may establish a central packing and grading depot in Auckland. Final details of the scheme have still to be settled.
