Waiotira Show’s Record Takings
Checked gate takings for the Waiotira Show give the figure at £142 16/~, to which has to be .added £34 from the dance which followed in the evening. Winners of points prizes were announced at the dance, which drew one of the largest crowds seen at a district social function.
Commenting on the show today, the secretary, Mr S. W, Crawford, said the committee would have to face the problem of enlarging the present ground. Had it hot been for the Pahi regatta, the showgrounds would have been overtaxed on Saturday.
