Whangarei Club Retains Swan Cup
The Whanghrei Bowling Club retained the Swan Cup against the challenge of the Kensington Club, when played for on Saturday. This cup is for interclub competition among all the clubs in the North Auckland Centre, and is played for by two teams, the aggregate score being taken.
Games on Saturday resulted as follows. Whangarei teams being mentioned first:—
Stead. Wise, Eccles, Everett is), 22, v. Bain, Fleming, Littlejohn, Studd (s) 16; Woledge, Blanshard, J. S. Wilson, Roberts (s), 18, v. Boucher, Chissell, Moore, Boag (s), 19. Total points: Whangarei 40, Kensington 35.
