Australian Standing Army
SYDNEY, February 28,
The Federal Cabinet sitting in Sydney yesterday, approved the establishment of a standing army of 10,000 men, who will be enlisted at the rate of 2000 a year over the next five years. The cost of such an army is estimated at £4,000,000 a year.
