Time, 7secs. Open championship. 880 yards; Turner 1, Sanders 2, Dickison 3. Time, 2m 29 l-ss. Turner ran a splendid race in this event. Men’s 220 yards: Cherrington 1, Sanders 2, J. Taylor 3. Time, 31secs. Ladies' open, 100 yards: A. Shudder 1, P. Skudder 2, K. McCready and Mrs Brewer 3. Time, 12 4-ssecs. Long jump: J. Edmonds (17ft. 9in.) 1, N. Cheriiington 2. Ladies’ open, 220 yards: T. Skudder 1, A, Skudder 2, J. Atkins 3. Time, 34 l-ssecs.
Men’s open. 440 yards: Cumpsty 1, Edmonds 2. Time, 1m 5 4-ss. 10C yards three-legged race, man and lady: Turner and M. Petrie 1. Edmonds and J. Lee 2. Cumpsty and D. Stokes 3, Time, 15 2-ssecs. Hop, step and jump: Sanders (34ft.) 1, Cherrington 2, Edmonds 3. 50 Yards wheelbarrow race: Sanders and Dickison 1, Brewer and Cumpsty 2. Open one mile: Sanders 1, Turner 2, Marshall 3. Time, 6m 11 2-ss. Marshall, a primary school boy of diminutive size, ran a very plucky race to finish third in a strong field.
