Game Fish Plentiful In Bay Grounds
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] OTEHEI BAY, This Day. Mrs Michael Lerner, 'a member of the Lerner Scientific Expedition of the American Museum of Natural History, opened her account yesterday with a 2971 b black marlin, which gave a spectacular display, jumping 20 times in 15 minutes. The fish was caught outside Hope Passage. Other catches were: Edward F. Swift (Chicago), black marlin, 3511b5, off Cavalli Islands; B. H. Raphael (London), striped marlin, 2581b5, Cape Brett; W. Watt (Cambridge), striped marlin, 2781b5, and m'ako shark, 2G2 lbs; L. Stericker (Auckland), two striped marlin. 2871bs and 2911b5; W. R. Macpherson (London), striped marlin, 2721b5. Many fish were seen off Cape Brett and Bird Rock.
