Personal Pars

Mr F. L. Gunn, of Whangarei, has returned after six weeks spent in Australia. The Mayor of Whangarei, Mr W. Jones, leaves tomorrow to attend the forthcoming Municipal Conference at Dunedin. The town clerk, Mr L. O. Hall, follows on Thursday. Mr I. A. Cromie, engineer to the Whangarei Borough Council, returned last Saturday after having attended the New Zealand Engineer’s Conference at Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Rickard, of Kaitaia, will be leaving Auckland on March 14 on a world tour. After visiting the main centres of the Australian states, including Tasmania, they will sail for Colombo. It is their intention to make as complete a European tour as possible, taking in the totalitarian states, and they will spend some time in the United States of America.
