NORTHLAND TRIBE
•'Advocate" Office, Water St, Whangarei. Tuesday, February 28, 1939. Hello Everybody, * Are you all feeling fit andl “full of beans?” The Weatherman certainly approved, of Fitness Week, and so be should, for isn’t Old Man Sun a most important and necessary playmate? liut don’t be content with just Fitness Week, Northianders. Make 1939 a Fitness Year and by the time 1940 arrives you’ll have a fine collection of health habits that will last you a lifetime. I don’t feel very fit at present—l’ve just been helping work out this week’s competition. But the . S.P. is a small mass of energy and refuses to be still a minute while he’s awake—which is often. I don’t think he needs any special exercises. He seems to be able to think up plenty for himself. You’ve heard people say “Laugh and'grow fat.” Well, the S.P.’s motto is “jig and grow tall,” for although it sounds like a “tall” story (?), he’s grown a whole four inches suice he arrived at H.Q., and now there’s an inch over yard of him to deal with. Now it’s tea time, and not only Kupe, but Kim and Raku have hungry looks in their eyes. Cheerio till next week, Princess, Northland Tribe. .
