Election Of New Pope
(Received 1 p.m.) VATICAN CITY, February 21. It is officially stated that the Conclave of Cardinals for the election of the new Pope will open on March 1. It is expected that all 62 >Cardinals will then have arrived. Cardinal Boggiani, aged 76, is ill with diabetes, and is alrriost blind. He his been pronounced sufficiently recovered to participate. tfhree doctors, one of whom is a surgeon, with' operating ‘ equipment, will be confined in a- secret area to attend-to invalids.* Thirty , loud speakers are being erected on jthe facade of the Square at St- Peter’s.
