GENEVA, February 19. The gold value of world trade in 1938 was 13.4 per cent, less than in 1937, a a,et difference of 9 per cent., owing to the fall in gold prices. Exports declined 13£ per cent., including Britain and Australia, 10 per cent.; New Zealand, Canada and Japan, 15 per cent. Imports decreased 13.2 per cent., including Britain, 11 per cent.; Japan, 29 per cent.; America, 35 per cent.; Czechoslovakia, 26 per cent. Germany’s imports increased 11 per cent., and Russia’s and Australia’s, 4 per cent.
