British Polo Player Badly Hurt
LOS ANGELES, February 19. When a pony stumbled and rolled on him, Captain Pat Roark, the noted British polp player, suffered a severe injury to the brain, the outcome of which doctors say is problematical. Captain Roark was playing number three in a British team led by the Australian, Bob Skene, in the first preliminary match for the International Cup series in June. The British team, which shipped 56 ponies to America, is making ,a six months’ tour in an unprecedented attempt to regain the trophy, which has been held by America since 1914,
