Rising In Peru Crushed

LIMA, February 19. An uprising against the dictatorship of General Oscar Benavides was crushed after fighting in which a number were killed. General Benavides’ trusted friend, General Antonio Rodriguez, Minister of Public Safety, with detachments of the national police, of which he was head stormed the presidential palace, and held the historic building for six hours. Finally the revolutionists were dislodged by the palace guards and General Rodriguez was killed.
