Who Can Guess These Books?
Of course you can guess the book-title for which the first little picture is the clue. “My favourite,” shouted the Office Boy, when the Artist produced this puzzle. He was quite right. The correct answer to Puzzle Number 1 is “Treasure Island.” What about Number 2? Thats another easy one. All fifteen pictures stand for popular books—ones that you are sure to know. There’s Kupe’s favourite, Jules Verne (no need to tell the answer to that one), and the Princess’s best-liked story is also represented. Here's a puzzle North!anders are sure to enjoy. It’s so easy, too. All they must do is fill in the coupon; writing on the dotted line opposite each number the name of the title they think that picture stands for. Name, address and age in the space provided, a neatly addressed envelope to Kupe, c/o “Advocate,” Water Street, Whangarei, and your entry can be on its way before bedtime. Half-crown prizes are \fered for the best work received, and in the event of ties, age and neatness may be the deciding factors. Hurry along with your entry.
