Interest In Forestry Sought

In an effort to create wider interest in the need for forest preservation, the North Auckland Forest Society is endeavouring to arrange for the president of the New Zealand Forest and Bird Protection Society, Captain Sanderson, to visit Northland in the near future. He will give lantern lectures depicting bird and forest life in New Zealand, and it is hoped that his visit will develop greater appreciation of native flora and fauna. The North Auckland Forest Society also has in mind sponsoring a series of addresses on forestry matters, and is new looking round fo rlikely speakers. As much encouragement as possible is to be given schoolchildren to attend lectures 'and in other ways to take an interest in forestry affairs.
