The Whangarei Falls should be developed as one of the beauty spots of the district under the control of the Whangarei Borough Council, said Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, after having visited the locality yesterday afternoon. Better access was required to the falls, while a track should be cut down the side of the hill to give improved access to the wonderful native jungle flourishing on the lower slopes surrounding the falls and extending in the valley below, he declared.
