Croquet Players Entertained

As president of the Whangafei Croquet Club, Mrs T."'H. Wilson, of Portland, entertained a number of ladies on the croquet lawns to mark the conclusion, of one of the most successful annual tournaments that the club have organised. Among the ladies present were Mesdames E. N. Boult, P. H. Webber, J. Finlayson, G. Marshall, J. 'Walker,' Rumbal. G. H. Hedditch, H. Menzies, H. Stevenson, C. Kerr, S. Blanshard and Gunthorpe. During the afternoon a progressive croquet competition was played, and in this Mrs G. Marshall was the Winner in the A section and Mrs Boult in the B. While an interval was taken, Mrs Wilson served her guests a dainty afternoon tea.
