Mrs J. T. Gostick Cox, with her niece, Mrs G. Mead, have been staying at the Ngawha Springs. Mrs Mead has now returned to her home in Rotorua, and Mrs Cox is visiting her sister, Mrs J. M. Clarke.

Mr and Mrs R. M. Salmon, Kamo Road, returned on Monday from a holiday at Waipu Cove. Miss Cleata Glover, King Street, returned on Tuesday from a tour of the North Island-

Miss Helen Fraser, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs W. Hills, Norfolk Street.

Miss Sheila Morgan, who has been holidaying in the Bay of Islands, is visiting Whangarei before motoring to her home in Papatoetoe. Mrs Percy Jones, of Wairakau Estate, Te Aroha, is the guest of her cousin, Mrs Rolfe Smith, Manse Street. She has lately spent an extended holiday at Manaia Gardens, Taurikura, and is delighted with the scenic attractions of the district. She hopes to return before long. Mr and Mrs J. C. Hester, Kaitaia, have been visiting their daughters, Mrs E. Dwyer, Pipiwai, and Mrs W. Palmer, Whangarei. Mrs K. J Dunn is visiting her mother in Auckland.

The Whangarei Federation Institute Garden Fete is to be held at Mr and Mr, Hunt’s garden, Maunu Road, on Wednesday, February 22, at 11 a.m., and all arrangements are in hand to ensure an enjoyable cuting. Mr and Mrs Tretheway, Papatoetoe, who have been on a motoring tour, are spending a few days in Whangarei before returning home. Mr and Mrs W. H. George, with their daughter, Ailsa, and son, Kevin, leave Whangarei on Tuesday and connect with the Awatea on Wednesday evening on an extended visit to Australia visiting relatives and friends. Mr and Mrs Peter Taylor, Henry Street, are touring the North for two weeks, and hope to have some deepsea fishing as well.

Mrs Warnes, sister-in-law of Mrs G. H. Morrish, of Hall Avenue, left last Saturday on a round-the-world trip. She is accompanying Mr Warnes.
