Italians Jubilant
(Received 10 a.m) LONDON, January 31. Italians circles are jubilant, says a message from Rome, declaring Herr Hitler’s speech should finally dissipate the illusions existing in other countries about the military solidarity of the Berlin-Rome axis. Some even assert that the issue is now clear-cut —that France must meet Italy's claim,s and Germany must be given colonial satisfaction, otherwise Europe faces the possibility of another war.
The Admiralty announces that plans for Their Majesties’ accommodation in the battlecruiser Repulse, for the voyage to Canada, are to be modified so as not to interfere with the ship’s fighting efficiency.
