Czechs Obliged To Be Germany’s Friends

Dr. Chvalovsky, the Czech Foreign Minister, after his meeting with Herr Hitler, informed a secret meeting of members of Parliament that the closest cultural economic collaboi’ation was inevitable with Germany, who would otherwise be in a position to use different methods, under which there would not be an outside voice raised on the Czechs’ behalf, says the Prague exchange correspondent. Loans Guaranteed England, France and Czechoslovakia have signed an agreement under which Britain freely grants to Czechoslovakia £4,000,000, in order to provide foreign exchange for refugees from the advance of £10,000,000 already made. France undertakes responsibility for the interest and repayment of her 1937-42 loan to Czechoslovakia, nominally of 700,000,000 francs. England and France guarantee a loan of £8,000,000, to be issued by Czechoslovakia. All these decisions are subject to Parliamentary approval
