Mr. And Mrs. Ralls Farewelled

A very pleasant and well-attended farewell evening was tendered Mr and Mrs L. Ralls, of Hukerenui, on the eve of their departure from New Zealand to take up residence in Australia early in February. During the evening Mr F, Rusk spoke on behalf of the Hukerenui Agriculture Association, referring to the valuable help and assistance rendered by Mr and Mrs Ralls in anything connected with the association, also in the sports and social life of the district.

Mr Wiblin, on behalf of the school committee, spoke highly of Mrs Ralls’ term of office as relieving assistant at the school. ' A long evening of fun and dancing was brought to an end with farewells and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne,” and “Far Over the Ocean.”
