Personal News From Kaitaia

Sergeant and Mrs Simister and family are spending a holiday in the south. Mr and Mrs L. A. Mclntosh and family have been on a three-weeks’ holiday at Pukenui Beach. Dr. Rule left Kaitaia on Sunday on his annual leave. Mrs Rule with her young daughters left earlier and is staying at Waipu. Dr. Sharp, Whangaroa, is ~ relieving Dr, Rule as superintendent of the Mangonui Hospital. Miss Black, matron of the Mangonui Hospital, who has been granted extended leave by the hospital board, on account of her health, has been visiting Vancouver. In her absence Miss Mcßae is filling the vacancy. . Defence League for Kaitaia With the ooject of forming a branch of the Defence League at Kaitaia, a public meeting will be held in the parish hall on Tuesday, January 31.
