Czech Co-operation With German Economy

[lndependent Cable Service.] GENEVA, January 24

A German military commission has Arrived at Prague to negotiate the purchase of several million pouncrs worth of aeroplanes, aero engines and heavy artillery. Payment will be made with coal from Czech pits ceded to the Reich.

After hearing from the Czech foreign minister, Dr. Chvalkovsky, an account of his talk with Herr Hitler and Herr von Ribbentrop, the Czech Cabinet instructed the- Minister of Commerce and Finance, Dr. Kalfus to draw up a programme of economic co-op-eration with Germany, says the Prague correspondent of “The Times.” Germany, it is understood demanded that Czecho-Slovakia should repudiate her Russian and French alliances and join the Anti-Communist Pact, to which Dr. Chvalkovsky replied that

she would be ready to do so when Germany guaranteed her new frontier.
