Shipping At Whangarei Town Wharf Basin

Carrying 60 tons of coal for the Whangaret Gas Company, the auxiliary scow Waikonini arrived at the Town Wharf Basin yesterday afternoon. After discharging her load, she left just before noon today for Port Whangarei, where she is to take aboard another 100 tons of Kamo coal for the Kaitaia Dairy Company. This will be discharged at Awanui, following which the vessel will take aboard a consignment of sand for the manufacture of glass at Auckland. The Northern Steamship Company’s motor vessel Kapiti, which early in the week visited Tauranga, returned to her normal duty on the AucklandWhaugarei service last night, and discharged cargo at the Town Wharf this morning.
