Injured Girl Rides in Ministerial Car

[Per Press Association. Copyright .l WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, sent home a young girl who fell under a train at Paekakariki station yesterday morning, in the ministerial motor car which was waiting for him at Wellington. The train stopped at Paekakariki for a few minutes and the young girl, Miss McMullian, hurried to join the train. She attempted to mount the steps of one of the cars but missed her footing and fell between the carriages almost clear of the rail. The driver of the train saw the girl fall and applied the emergency brakes. She was lifted out suffering from shock and minor bruises but otherwise unhurt. Kaimiroi Round for Port Whangarei. The Union Company’s steamer Korowai is due at Auckland from Westport and Portland tomorrow morning. The same company’s steamer Kaimiro will sail from Auckland this evening for Greymouth to load for Auckland and Port Whangarei,
