EVANS BAY POWER STATION.—By working practically straight through tor eighteen hours, mechanicians at the city power station at Evans Bay were able to restore to commission the second Velow boiler, above, which was stripped tor annual overhaul when the hydro-electric power failures commenced. Evans Bay is now carrying the whole of the city and Hutt Valley power load.
