Vanguard’s Second Win In Sanders Cup
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] INVERCARGILL, This Day. The Wellington.; boat Vanguard showed herself a good sailer yesterday when she won the fourth race of the Sanders Cup contest at Bluff. The Stewart Island boat, Lavina, was second, this being her best performance of the contest. Vanguard now has two wins to her credit, having won the first race on Friday. Takes 14ft. Championship Maintaining the good form she has shown throughout the Sanders Cup contest, the Wellington boat, Vanguard, won the New Zealand championship for 14ft. yachts in a keen contest* on - the Bluff harbour. The Stewart Island boat, Lavina, gave an excellent performance to take second place.
