Swimming Water Purer Than Tap Supply

Belifs that swimming baths and pools were unhygienic were criticised by Mr W. O. Stockley, Auckland organiser of the National Committed of Swimming and Life-Saving, when speaking to members of the Whangarei Swimming Club last night. Tests carried out during last year’s outbreak of ear and nose infections had revealed that the water in many swimming pools was purer than ordinary drinking water, and that the majority of them were kept well purified b*y chemical processes.
