Further Whangarei High School candidates to be successful in the University entrance examination were:— Alys N. Hawkeh (medical preliminary ‘in addition to -University , entrance) ; M\ L. Hore (University entrance) ; J. H. Mason (University entrance) ; Joyce A. Mcßeth (medical preliminary). Mrs F. G. Hedditch, for sixty years a resident, of Lake Wanaka, Central Otago, and now visiting her son, Mr C. H. G. Hedditch, ' of HatCa Street, Whangarei, today celebrated her 87th birthday. Mrs. Hedditch, who retains her full faculties, is on her way to Kerikeri, where she intends to reside.
