Australian ’Varsity Athletes Coming To N.Z.
[Special to “Northern Advocate H AUCKLAND, This Day. “Though final arrangements are not yet made, it seems certain that 12
athletes, a rowing eight and perhaps some swimmers from various Australian universities, will tour New Zealand during the Centennial year,” said Mr Eric Halstead, former president of the Auckland University
College Students’ Association, who returned by the Niagara to-day. Mr Halstead said that the Australians would pay their own expenses, but the New Zealand students would be expected to provide billets.
