The action of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, in ordering the destruction of wild cats to protect game birds whs condemned by a member of the Raglan County Council at a special meeting .pf the council. . It was pointed out that cats, stoats and hawks did a great deal in keeping down rabbits in the district and the methods adopted by the Minister were considered wrong. The county chairman, Mr H. W. Wilson, that a strong protest against the Minister’s action should be entered. The natural enemy had proved most usefuj, in combating the rabbit menace.
