The features of the semi-final gallops at EUerslie this morning for the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting, which is to be commenced on Saturday next, were a half-mile by Bonny Belle, six furlongs by Hunting More and seven furlongs by Respectful and Galloping Acre, and a mile by Ringshot, who finished in front of Philcourt and Jonathan. Fleetwind and Aero King were also responsible for a good trial over six furlongs on the tan track. ■ The course proper, on which the poles were out 60 feet, and the tan track were used for galloping and both provided first-class going.

First Gold Money, after running her first three furlongs in 41 3-ss, was going -comfortably at the end of six,’ which took 1.24 4-5. Silver Qucx reeled Off five furlongs in 1.5 2-5, the first two being covered in' 26 l-ss.

Over a similar distance. Bronze Wings took 1.6 1-5, the first two furlongs taking 26 l-ss. Bonny Belle Best

Bonny Belle came home from the half-mile post in 50 4-ss, the best of the morning over the distance. The Takapuna Cup candidate, Respectful, was holding Galloping Acre at the end of seven furlongs, which took 1.32 1-5. They ran the first three in 39 4-ss, and Galloping Acre impressed by his efforts. Red Falcon .and Bide-a-Wee sprinted down the straight, hitting out very freely. Marie’s Acre had an advantage over Spinning Wheel, with Barrister several lengths away at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.20 4-5, the last half-mile taking 52 l-ss.

Royal Message and La Vie reeled off five furlongs in 1.4 3-5, the first two furlongs being covered in 24 2-ss. Electric Spear, who was to have gone with the i above pair,. went away on her own and ran three furlongs along the back in 38s, then being eased up. Tea Gong Ahead

Tea Gong was too good for Scott Abbey over half a mile in 54 3-ss, the first furlong taking 13s.

Captain Bruce worked lazily while running seven furlongs in 1.42 i-5. Over a furlong less, Full o’ Scotch recorded 1.21 2-5. He ran the first three furlongs in 40 l-ss, and_ was going comfortably when he reached the post.

Ringshot, Philcourt and Jonathan traversed a mile in 1.44 1-5, finishing as named. The first half-mile took 52 2-ss, and Ringshot, who had an advantage in weight, and who got the best of -the start, did his woft well.

Odtaa completed six furlongs in 1.21 2-5, the last half-mile taking 54 2-5. Huntingmore went away very fast from the six furlong post to run the first three in 38s, and he continued on to rim the full distance in 1.19 2-5. First-class Run Pasture got to the end of five furlongs in* 1.6 2-5, the first two taking 26 2-5. Fleetwind had a slight advantage over Aero King, with Palmint further back, at the conclusion of six furlongs, which occupied 1.19 1-5. The first three furlongs were covered in 40s, and it was a first-class trial Tybalt was allotted useful work, coming home over the last half-mile in 545.

Valspear was under restraint, while traversing six furlongs in 1.25 4-5.

Marheke was sent six furlongs, being timed to run her last half-mile in 53 3-ss.

Knight of Australia completed a round in 1.56 3-5, the last six furlongs taking 1.21 3-ss. Royal Appellant apd Mintlaw strode over five furlongs in 1.12 1-5 and Wapaugh was going easily over three furlongs in 43 2-5. Earl Beatty, son of the late Admiral of the Fleet, arrived at Auckland with the Countess Beatty by the Matua from Suva yesterday afternoon, to spend a fortnight in the Dominion. Earl Beatty, who is 33, suffered a severe hunting 'accident in February of last year. He left England three months ago on a trip round the world, in the first place to recuperate and secondly to visit branches of the Navy League, in which he is interested.
