Mayor’s Confidence In Rising Generation
Confidence in the rising generation was expressed by.. the Mayor. Mr W. Jones, last week.
“I find nothing wrong with the young men and women of today,” he declared, when speaking at the electrical dedication ceremony at the Whangarei Dairy Factory.
The last 30 years had seen big changes in both town and Dairy Factory, said Mr Jones.
The pioneers of the country had laid its foundations on good sound, religous lines.
He was confident, however, that the present generation would follow worthily in their footsteps.
“They are the stock of our pioneers and I am quite satisfied that they will make good,” Mr Jones said.
“I have no fear for the future of this country.
“Government, local body work, and the administration of dairy factories will be carried out on the best' principles.”
