Radio Equipment For Trans-Tasman Fliers

Referring to radio equipment for the trans-Tasman service, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said that the work in New Zealand was well forward, and he expected to receive a report on the amount of material in hand early next week.
The Minister said that a fullyequipped station would be provided at Auckland. He wrs not sure whether it would eventually provide for both the Tasman and Pan-American Airways services.
The equipment would be useful for military purposes when the VickersWellington long range bombers were delivered.
