Crown Jewels Pay For War-time Thefts
(Received 10 a.m.) WARSAW, January 7. It is announced that Poland, on January 1, formally took possession of Russian Crown Jewels valued at £1,500,000, which were by the Soviet under the Riga Agreement of 1921, as a guarantee for the unpaid indemnity for £3,000,000 worth of treasures Russia took from Poland.
