[Special to “Northern Advocate ”j AUCKLAND, This Day, An outright win by Pukekohe over Hamilton in the annual Country Week cricket tournament for subassociations in the Auckland Province, the first round of which was completed yesterday, placed that team in the lead for the Hellaby Shield. A fine stand by the opening Pukekohe batsmen, Blake 'and Lawrie, led to their side’s victory over Hamilton by an innings and 73 runs, Lawrie scored 100 not out, and Blake retired with 109 to his credit. A first innings lead of 103 I’uns enabled Rodney to defeat SelwynOraka. To Selwyn-Oraka’s total of 73 in the first innings, Rodney replied with a score of 180, which was chiefly due to J. Hooper and S. Campbell, each of whom made 50 runs. POVERTY BAY BEAT WAIKATO. Poverty Bay beat Waikato by 187 runs. Scores. —Poverty Bay, first innings, 341 for six wickets (D. A. Wells 107, M.
