Elma Looks Forward To The Next Surprise
Oakleigh. Dear Kupe and Princess Raranga. I am a bit late in sending in my congratulations but still it is better late than never. I wish to thank you for the birthday greetings for me that were in the Young Northlander. Have you decided what to call your heir yet? I was leather excited when I read the news. He would have been a good Xmas; present if ho had been born a little later. Well. Princess, I am sending in a recipe which I have just come across so I (bought I would send it in. I am still waiting patiently for this new surprise that is coming and if it is anything like the lasi ones it ought to be good. Well I suppose i must close now and in case I don’t s on you on Monday or write before Xmas. I must wish you both a Happy Xmas and a joyful New Year. I remain, A Loyal Maiden, ELMA WEBB.
“Tommy,” said teacher. “Why are you so late?” “Well, teacher,” replied Tommy. I mended my boots with an old cycle tyro and on the way I got a puncture.”
