Scouts Sail Tomorrow

The Northern Contingent of the New Zealand Boy Scouts who are attending the world’s Jamboree in Sydney from December 29 to January 19 will leave by the steamer Awatea tomorrow ■ afternoon.
The Southern Contingent will leave from Wellington next week. Altogether, 600 of all ranks will sail from New Zealand, under the command of Commander J. R. H. Cooksey. This represents the largest organised body of youths to leave the Dominion. The scout-masters in charge of the troops are as follows: Tanikaha (Auckland), R. W. Jessup; Karaka (Auckland), R. H. M. Pope; Puriri (Poverty Bay), Rev. N. F. Benham; Tawa (Thames Valley and Waikato), G. I. Clark; Puketea (Hawke’s Bay-Whangarei-Dargaville), G, W. Sharman; Kauri (Bay of Plenty-Wairoa), L. E. Philpott; Matai (New PlymouthWanganui). L. F. Croker; Remu (Scouters and Rovers), C. MacFerson.
