[Special to "Northern Advocate -”] AUCKLAND, This Day.

The Chamber of Commerce has received advice from the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. Nash, that in connection with the regulations affecting the control of overseas trade, every effort is being made to permit the issue of licenses as early as possible to cover the first six-monthly period.

The chamber has replied saying that the Minister was silent on the question of what class of goods, if any, were to be restricted, and to what extent, and to what countries.
