Spotlight 0n.... Hon. M.J. Savage

The Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage who has replied to criticism of the Government’s trade control policy, that New Zealand will buy British goods for every shilling Britain pays for New Zealand exports. Mr Savage, an Australian, has spent many years in the Dominion. He has been a lifelong member of the Labour movement, and, on the death of Mr H. E. Holland, he became leader of the New Zealand Labour Party. When Labour was returned at the polls Mr Savage was elected Prime Minister.
