The weight of Sovereign Lady in the Otago Handicap, the chief event on the first day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s summer meeting, was telegraphed as 9.8. and Mr G. MurrayAynslcy, being under the impression that that was the right impost, wired scratching the mare. However, it was later discovered that the correct weight was 9.0. The committee of the club has reinstated the horse.
