Mr. and Mrs. Munn Farewelled
A farewell to Mr and Mrs H. A. Munn by their many friends was held in the Warrington Studio on Saturday evening last. About 60 couples were present to bid farewell to this popular couple prior to their leaving for Napier where Mr Munn has been transferred.
The guests were piped in by Mr H. Adams.
Mrs J. Reynolds, who organised the function, presented Mrs Munn with a bouquet of carnations. Mrs Reynolds wore blue velvet, and Mrs Munn chose black georgette and lace. Music was provided by Mrs Cunningham and extras were contributed by Miss Heather Dunn, Mr Ray Goodison and Mr and Mrs McLennan, Between dances items were given by Mrs R. Stevenson, Mr and Mrs Duncan McLennan. Mr K. Ward. Mr W. L. Booth. Mr C. Dawson, Mr G. Wilding and Mir E. Dennis, and the Frivolity Minstrels. After supper, Mr T. Walder. on behalf of those present, presented a crystal set to Mr and Mrs Munn. Mr Munn returned thanks. A humorous feature of the evening was the recognition of the birthdays of Mrs J- £>kow, former resident of Whangarei and now of Tauranga. who was present, and Mr C. L. Nisbett. The occasion was celebrated in happy j vein, and Auld Lang Syne concluded a most enjoyable evening. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs H. A. Munn. J. Reynolds. H. Adams, W. L. Booth. J. Skow, L. C. McKenzie, Hamilton Morgan, T. Williams, S. Gxibble, E. Dennis and G. Larking. Apologies, with good wishes were received from Messrs McConnell, G. Andrews and S. Clark.
