The council drew attention to the unusual problems facing the North. Delegate Appointed. Mr Stevens contended that problems facing Northland were much the same as those facing other parts of the Dominion. “It seems to me there is a good deal of investigation to be done, and a great deal of work yet to be undertaken in the North,” commented Mr H. E. Hewlett. Mr Hewlett Was appointed the board’s delegate to attend a confer- ! ence being called to discuss the matter.
