Alleged Christchurch Hold-Up Man Arrested
CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. A sequel to the alleged armed holdup at Chaney’s Corner on Tuesday night was heard in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when Cyril James Martin-Leverson appeared. Martin-Ueverson, described as a storekeeper and mechanic, aged 24. was charged that, on October 18, he robbed Kenneth James Halligan of £24 in money, the property of Motorways, . Ltd. Chief-Detective W. H. Dunlop said accused was arrested yesterday, arid the police desired a remand until October 27. The magistrate, after*, granting the remand, refused a request for bail.
