G. Goulsbro. While walking Anopheles I round at the post awaiting the start of the Wellesley Stakes, Goulsbro was kicked by another runner. The start was delayed 15 minutes while L. H. Clifford was substituted for Goulsbro, who was removed to hospital. Anopheles ran a good race for third, but had no chance with the winner Beaulivre.
