A splendid attendance comprised mostly local folk, a fact that speaks highly for the enthusiasm displayed in the game. The greens were in splendid order. Mrs A. Cadman, president of the club, welcomed visitors and after play-
ing the first ball, declared the greens open for play. Competitions were staged, Mrs C. O’Callaghan and Mrs H. Pearson head-
ing the list of winners.
A terrific explosion at Ipswich early yesterday morning wrecked the real of the dwelling of a former police sergeant, says a message from Brisbane. Subsequently, Wilfred Young, teged 27, reported himself to the police and was arrested.
