Marsden Political Campaign

The chairman of the town board, Mr J. M. Cartwright, presided over an attendance -of over 80 at the Onerahi town hall last night, when Mr A. J. Murdoch, National candidate for Marsden, gave an address. The candidate received an excellent hearing, the only interjections coming from one source. At the close of the meeting, the chairman suggested that confidence could best be left until Saturday, but proposed a vote of thanks to the speaker which was carried with acclamation, three cheers being given.

At Wellsford last night, Mr J. G. Barclay, M.P., addressed a gathering of 200. Mr Singleton presided. What interjections there were assisted in brightening the meeting. A vote of confidence was carried with very few dissentients.
