Mr. Hamilton Protests Against Half-Truth

[Special to “Northern Advocate ”l

INVERCARGILL, This Day

Speaking at Lumsden last evening, the Leader of the Opposition, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, said that statements had been made about the Southland Frozen Meat Company and himself that might have to be answered before long.

“When people tell a half-truth, and don't tell the whole truth, it isn’t fair fighting,” he declared. “The Government members have' had the opportunity of bringing the matter up in the House of Representatives during tne last four years, when I have been there to answer them. They would not do that, however, and now they are rushing round the country, telling the half-story. If they think they can win an election by telling half-truths, they are making a grave mistake."
