Polling On Ships

[Special to “Northern Adi'ocate’ ’] AUCKLAND, This Day.

Of 40 odd passengers who leave Auckland tomorrow on the steamer Niagara, those with voting qualifications in New Zealand will be able to record votes both in the Parliamentary election and the local option issue. A fair proportion of officers and a number of the crew of the Niagara arc also entitled to vote, a’nd this will be their opportunity to do so. A polling place will be opened in the Niagara’s saloon library for the purpose. Voting facilities will be provided in the case of all ships leaving New Zealand for overseas between tomorrow and election day.
