Candidates For Northern Seats

With tho closing of nominations at 12 noon to-day, there were no surprises so far as the election candidates for the three Northern constituencies were concerned. With the withdrawal of Mr W. Grounds, there will be a straight-out fight between the Government and Opposition in the Bay of Islands, where both the aspirants are new to politics. In Kaipara, however, an Independent brings the field to three. Hie issue is clear-cut between Messrs. Barclay and Murdoch in Marsden. The candidates nominated are:—
