French Premier’s Fervid Outburst (Received 1 p.m.) I. PARIS, September 30. M DALADIER, FRENCH PREMIER, BEFORE LEAVING MUNICH, IN * A STATEMENT SAID; “IT IS AN HISTORIC DATE IN THE LIFE OF EUROPE. WAR HAS BEEN AVOIDED, AND AN HONOURABLE PEACE ENSURED FOR ALL PEOPLES. “I had the pleasure of seeing for myself that there are no feelings of hatred or hostility in Germany towards France. Rest assured that France has no hostility towards Germany. “Peace today is safe. I-hope that once we have crossed the dangerous seas we shall be able to realise a gen eral settlement of a great European problem. , “If this is obtainable, it is due to the discipline, steadiness and resolution of the people of France, who have not ceased to show the greatest coolness. Let us remain a united, industrious and strong people.”
The French Cabinet has been called to discuss demobilisation. Enthusiastic We! come Home. M. Daladier’s homecoming was - comparable with Mr Chamberlain's, It is described as the most enthusiastic since the Armistice.
After a Cabinet meeting had be en held immediately on M. Daladier’s return, a communique stated: “M. Lebrun, President, interpreting the feeling of the country, thanked M. Dalad ier for the enlightened vigilance, patriaotism and physical coux*age wi th which he discharged the grave and delicate mission, and brought a happy conclusion. Cabinet joined the President in his congratulations. M. Daladier, who responded, asked that M. Bonnet, Foreign Minister, be included in the congratulations. After approving the Munich agreement, Cabinet decided to summon Parliament on Tuesday. Bourse Pr ices Soar. Hectic scenes were witnessed at the Bourse. The floor was impassable with a mass of shouting humanity. Prices, which jumped from 10 to 30 per cent, yesterday, moved up further.
